Yesterday begun the 2nd Hackathon hosted by the Free Software Office, at the University of Granada.
We started at 9:15 introducing the participants our project. There were 6 Free Software project involved in this Hackathon, and the participants must chose the one they wanted to colaborate with. Here are the six awesome project managers:

When the presentations were over, participants chose the project they liked the most and GeoRemindMe got 13 new colaborators highly experienced in their expertise fields. Behold the new GeoRemindMe Team!!! :

Yesterday we worked hard (and then we partied hard…but that’s another story
) and we did amazing progress on many of GeoRemindme’s To-Dos:
- Brainstorming to optimize the smartphone’ s battery use.
- Defining the protocol to link mobile devices and the server.
- Analyzing and checking the web structure and how we must adapt it properly to the mobile version.
- Taking a look to the free software licenses available.
- Designing the mobile app.
- Installing and setting up Android SDK.
- Designing GeoRemindMe business cards and our new web site (
coming soon!!). - Considering the posibilities (and costs) of making merchandising stuff (like T-Shirts, badges, stickers,…).
- Taking a look to Android app interface design.
- Starting with Innovact’s documentations, slides,…
- And I must be forgeting something…for sure!
Later that evening, we were interviewed by the guys from mundoespejo.es. The podcast (in spanish) will be available soon (Update: Podcast here).
